The DS4600 is the ideal solution for medium ranges unattended bar code scanning. This new industrial scanner is available in two reading range versions. The medium range model features a maximum reading distance of 530 mm while the long-range version features an outstanding 1000-mm maximum reading distance. The reading characteristics of the DS4600 make this scanner suitable for a wide range of applications in the industrial field, including automated warehousing and manufacturing. It is the only scanner in its category that features ambient light immunity. This unique feature makes the DS4600 suitable for outdoor applications and makes installation simple, not requiring any screening of the direct light sources around the reading stations.

The DS4600 is available with a new real time linear decoder and an ACRŽ (Advanced Code Reconstruction) 2nd generation decoder. The linear decoder version is based on a powerful RISC processor and features reliable Datalogic pre-processor technology capable of providing exceptional price/performance solutions for the fastest and most sophisticated applications.

ACRŽ technology is based on a powerful DSP able to carry out real time bar code image reconstruction and decoding, allowing the reading of non-oriented labels placed in various positions on objects. This code reconstruction capability also dramatically enhances the readability of poorly printed or damaged codes.
