FAQ's for Scanners

Does not scan the Barcode?
The scanner must not be enabled to scan the particular symbology.
The Barcode must be broken or damaged.
The barcode must be a DISCREET barcode (get an act barcode label printed).
The scanner cable must not be connected to the system.
Problem in the scan engine (call for service).

Scanner is connected but LED / Laser light does not glow?
The Keyboard Wedge connection in the PC must have a problem.
The cable may be faulty (Call for Service).
The power supply adaptor may be faulty & needs repair (Call for Service).
The scanner may be faulty (Call for Service).

Scanner scans the Barcode but the Data is not sent to the System?
The cable connection may be lose, check the same at both the ends.
The cable may be damaged (Call for Service).
The Programme must not be started in the system where the Data needs to be sent.
Extended cable is been used to transfer the Data (call for service).

Partial or wrong data is sent to the system?
Hold the scanner in right position (Linear) over the barcode while scanning.
Check the type of symbologies used.
Check if the scanner is not having any Header or Tailor set onto it.
Problem in the scan engine (Call for Service).
Need to check the scanner settings (call for service).
Problem in the data cable (call for service).
